In cases of HEVC, images get broken down into units of Coding Tree or CTUs, and it can be a maximum of 64x64 pixels. For h.264, every macroblock can only have a prediction of intraframe or interframe. In the interframe compressing process, the borrowing of pixels occurs from a video’s adjacent frames. Intraframe compressing process borrows the pixels within the frame of the same video. CTUs utilize a mixed compressing process of interframe and intraframe in HEVC.
