| Technical details | OpenDocument text file format is unique in that it is compatible with both proprietary and free software. A Technical Committee (TC), which is affiliated with the Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards industry consortium, has developed a web-based office suite. ODT files are generated using synchronized multimedia integration language and scalable vector graphics, all of which comply with the Web Accessibility Initiative standards set by the World Wide Web Consortium. |
